I think you will agree that it’s been a hell of a ride this year, and I have to be honest and say that for me a lot of those journeys have been at break-neck speed going in the opposite direction to what I wanted! I have had health challenges. Had to come to terms with loss. Sailed a little too close to the wind on some occasions, and Tried to maintain my sanity and humanity when confronted with a world that seems to be teetering on the brink! But I did it…. We all did. We weathered it all, and supported and loved each other as best as we could to make it to the end of a truly tumultuous year. So as we begin to hurry in the new, let’s bid a candid farewell to what has been a challenging year for many of us, by reflecting on the following and asking ourselves these questions:
What have I learned about myself this year? What were the highlights – because even in all of this craziness there were bound to be a few!
What would I do differently if I had the chance?
How can I take better care of myself moving forward?
What do I want for myself in 2019?
Sit with your answers for a while – no matter what they were, and do you know something? You did it! Congratulations on 2018 – with all its highs and lows and in-betweens. You did it! Savour the highlights, thank the universe and pat yourself on the back for all of them. Use all your learning to fuel your future actions. And remember the mantra for 2019 is simply this:
‘To be there everyone else I must first be there for myself”
As we wave 2018 goodbye, take a minute to be grateful for all the lessons it has shared with us (even the harsher ones 😉). Here’s to a 2019 that has a little more love, compassion, peace and harmony than the year that’s been. Go well and go with love into a Happy New Year and I’m looking forward to starting the it with some of you in earnest in the REBALANCED YOU - 30 Day Wellbeing Reset which starts on 2nd January!
