Somewhere along the line you stopped believing you had a choice.
Maybe someone told you so a long time ago,
Or maybe said something to you more recently.
Perhaps they said you have to do this,
That this is your best option,
That this is all you are good enough for,
That this is all you can do,
That you need to manage your expectations,
After all, it’s just the way it is.
Well, my friend, I’m here to remind you that it's not the way it is and you absolutely do have a choice.
You get to choose how you spend your time.
You get to choose what you spend your time doing, and
You decide what you are prepared to trade in exchange.
So remember if you have forgotten –
YOU HAVE A CHOICE.
And if by some miracle you never knew this, im telling you today
YOU HAVE A CHOICE.
The career you have,
the work you do,
where you do it,
who you do it with,
and what you get in return
YOUR CHOICE.
