Mental Health Awareness Week 2019 Challenge - Day 4

Updated: Dec 24, 2023

Mental health awareness week CHALLENGE DAY 4

Social media and the internet have been blamed for many ills but one of the incredible benefits is the ability to connect it has afforded us. We are able to find communities and tribes that share our challenges, fears and hopes, and dreams and find support to help us if we are struggling – no matter the problem. We never have to be alone in anything now unless we chose to be.

Mental Health Awareness week is all about starting conversations and giving air to the challenges of mental health we all face - either personally or as part of a shared experience of someone we know or care about.

So the mental health awareness week challenge today is:

Reach out… you don’t have to be alone……start that conversation……

You don’t always have to be in the same room, or even the same country to have it, so if the idea of talking about what you are feeling or the challenges you are facing still feel too difficult with people you know or work with, there is a whole world of people available to you at the press of a button who know what you are going through because they have been there or are more than happy to listen, support and talk.

You are only alone if you chose to be.

You don’t have to be.

Reach out and start the conversation, any way you feel will best work for you.

Here’s to better mental health for all of us.
